カワヅザクラ、咲き始めました　[季節の話題] [編集]

２月となり、平成22年度も残り２か月を切りました。年度末です。
多くの受注業務の納期が２月から３月に集中しているため、この業界にとって最も多忙な時期です。
社内には夜遅くまで、時には朝まで明かりが灯り、それが土曜も日曜も続きます。やれやれ‥‥。

そんな折でも外に目を向ければ、立春を過ぎて陽の光も明るく、
春の事象が目に触れるようになってきました。
緑生研究所のすぐ近くに調布市役所があり、
樹高５ｍ程度のカワヅザクラ（河津桜）が１本植えられていますが、
花の数が少しずつ増えてきました。
カンヒザクラとオオシマザクラとの交雑個体に由来するといわれる、近年人気の早咲き品種です。
この個体は特に開花が早いようで、毎年１月末には咲き始めて、人目を集めています。

また今朝は、調布駅前でハヤブサの仲間のチョウゲンボウが１羽、
鳴きながらハシブトガラスを追い払っていました。
しばらく姿が見えなかったのですが、繁殖期になって今年も戻ってきてくれたようです。
こうした春の事象を心の糧として、年度末の峠を越えていくのです。
